KATA BUNKAI
The following compilation of bunkai videos was created in an effort to help CSL students learn the various kata applications. Depending on your browser, you may need to download a plug-in to view the video. Most of the applications have been divided into two videos. The first video demonstrates the traditional application(s), often called bunkai, that should be used for CSL kyu exams. The second video offers several more complex ideas involving locking, throwing, choking, etc. These variations are sometimes referred to as oyo and can be quite destructive. These oyo should not be used by CSL students during exam unless a student is asked to perform a secondary application.
